Lauren + Austin | Northern Michigan Summer Wedding
A Northern Michigan summer wedding has so many possibilities. Every landscape from the water to the forest and meadows is beautiful! As a wedding photographer, I get the chance to see how couples incorporate their own style and personalities into their special day. Every wedding is different and as unique as they are. It’s so cool to see couples include traditions that are important to them while adding their own spin on the day they profess their love and commitment to each other.
Lauren & Austin nailed it with the fun, laid back vibe for their wedding day. You could feel the love surrounding them in the most important place to the two of the them – their own home! Family and friends helped transform their beautiful property into the perfect wedding venue for their special day.
Guests were welcomed to valet parking in the adjoining field before registering on the Smith-Corona and proceeding down the wood chip path. A tub of refreshments was set up just before entering the magical ceremony site. The soft light streaming through the grove of trees was incredibly beautiful and romantic. You could feel the love surrounding this sweet couple as close friends officiated, played music, and shared in the joy of the ceremony.
The Celebration
A fun family photo session was followed by the grand entrance from the grove to the party tent where the celebration began. Guests enjoyed delicious food, champagne toasts (complete with a little champagne spraying), and were gifted with homemade preserves. The deserts and homemade cheesecake were amazing! Because all you really need is love and cheesecake!
From the tent the party moved to the yard where the band 3 Hearted rocked it from the porch. The groom even took a turn to jam with the band! Barefoot dancing in the grass with the lights twinkling in the background of the gorgeous flower garden was absolutely perfect.
The moon rose in the background as this sweet couple laughed, danced, and sang the night away surrounded by so much love! It was an incredibly memorable way to begin a marriage.
